We know how difficult it is to find great tasting Indian food in another country; now that destination Asian Weddings is a growing demand.   Rishi Sunak No 10 Downing StreetJuly 2023

  The Meera team had the privilege to cater at Number 10 downing street for a Uk- India reception evening following prime minster, Rishi Sunak’s visit to India discussing future trade deals. This was a high profile event including high net worth individuals and many celebrities with a favourite being Sonam Kapoor.
  
  We cooked an extensive menu for 200 people located in the gardens of Number 10 where we served a canapes style reception evening with mocktails and cocktails. We created a range of new and quirky dishes with Asparagus Khandvi being the most favourite. In fact, Sonam Kapoor spoke about this in the Asian tabloids.

  Rome

  Meera team held their first international event in Rome, the city state of Vatican. This was a religious event orchestrated by Morari Bapu. The Meera team had the privilege to work at (hotel) diversifying Roman Catholic culture with Guajarati tradition. Here we worked with hotel chefs to cater for 1500 per day on average for breakfast lunch and dinner. With all the hard work and determination we achieved 5 star comments from prestigious individuals from around the world.

  Athens

  Our next venture was in June 2016 where the Meera team travelled to Athens. Held in the luxurious intercontinental hotel this was an event not to be missed. We formed a team of 50 individuals merging Greek and Indian culture to cook our best foods for an average of 2000 guests per day. This was a challenging task that we hadn’t experienced before. With the help of the intercontinental team we successfully delivered the clients requirements and exceeded his expectations. Our main highlight was cooking 80 fresh dishes in 2 hours, otherwise known as a Chappan Bhog. Please view some of our highlights in our gallery.

  Switzerland July 2022

  The Meera team set of to Geneva for an event held at the private surroundings of Etoy Switzerland. The team had the privilege to cook breakfast, lunch & dinner for a 7 day event for 4500 people. This compromised a team of 10 people where we were responsible for the cooking and waiter service throughout the event. With minimal facilities available there were various hurdles the team had to tackle to may this work. With our dedication and experience we did just that, delivering the finest Asian food within the city of Geneva. Click on our view gallery tab for some pictures of the event.

  July 2017

  Meera’s team of 35, travelled to Interlaken, a traditional town in the mountainous region of central Switzerland. The team catered for another religious event held in the Congress hall of Interlaken. Exceeding numbers of 1500 guests daily we sure had a challenge on our hands. The team put in a great effort, where we catered for breakfast through to lunch and dinner. Overall the clients were amazed with the services provided.

  London Wembley arenaAugust 2017

  Being in the business for nearly 25 years the Meera team faced an extraordinary task. Having had the privilege to cater at Wembley Arena back in 1980, we once again had another opportunity. Unlike any other event done by Meera Caterers this was a huge event. With numbers soaring over 10,000 daily we put our blood, sweat and tears into providing a full lunch menu with dessert for 68,000 people over the course of 10 days. With months of planning and organisation we received mind blowing comments from the public and clients. We are very proud of the 70 people we had in our team and a great achievement for the brand.

  August 2018

  Meera Caterers had the privilege to cater yet again at the famous Wembley arena for a 9 day spiritual festival orchestrated by Ramshesh Osani. With numbers firing to 50,000 people this was a challenge but nothing out of the ordinary. With our past experience of events catered for, our team of 50 people did a great job in planning and executing the tasks needed to ensure a successful event took place. The Meera team received outstanding comments from both the clients and public which was a good reward for our hardworking team and the brand.

  Greece Cape Sounio Hotel September 2021

  The Meera team set off to Athens, Cape Sounio Boutique 5 Star hotels over a 7 day period for a mesmerising destination wedding. With short notice of the event going ahead due to Covid restrictions in place, we catered for breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the one week event. This ranged from Gujarati Thali, Indo –Chinese, live Jikko Pizza, South Indian and Italian meals infused with Greek traditions.
  
  We catered for over 2000 people throughout the week, working alongside the Greek chefs to Deliver Indian flavours in Greece. Right from the get go the Meera team were working endlessly but most importantly exceeded the expectations of the client. With huge compliments and gratitude received from the client and guests we exceeded our standards.

  Spain Malaga July 2021

  The Meera team set off for a two day event for a private wedding held in the residence of Malaga City. Unlike other longer events we have done, this was a lunch and dinner event for 2 days. We set up our kitchen under a marquee structure, although limited services were available at the venue, we worked around this to deliver a mixed Gujarati and Punjabi style menu. Food items such as Pani Puri Shots, Paneer Tikka wraps, Punjabi Panner Tikka masala were popular items.

  Turkey (Izmir)May 2023

  The Meera team continue their international events catering to Turkey, Izmir. This was a 7 day event located on a private island in turkey for a lovely Indian and Turkish couple. We catered for numerous events leading up to the main wedding and reception night which was simply mind-blowing. Moreover, we organised trucks from London to take all our equipment, dry goods and masala ready for a fusion wedding along with designing a mobile kitchen on site. We cooked an extensive menu, where we worked along side the Turkish chefs to present our dishes based on the clients requirements.

  Stoke Park – Buckinghamshire June 2023

  The Meera team set of to Stoke Park, a venue with historic presence and affiliated to the Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani.
  
  This was a very high profile event for the family of Mukesh Ambani. The Meera team provided a Royal Gujrathi buffet for the 300 guests with live stations such as Rotla. We made royal dishes such as Saffron infused rice, pine nut daal, Fresh mango Russ, asparagus khandvi + many more.

  Cambridge University – Ram KathaAugust 2023

  The Meera team set of to a historic location within the ground of Cambridge University (Jesus College) to cater for a 12 days katha event, recited by the famous Morari Bapu. This was an event which holds much importance, gratitude and perseverance. Since the beginnings of Cambridge university till this date, there has never been an Indian caterer to step foot within the grounds of Cambridge. It was a huge achievement for us and the host to allow this for the first time and have full trust in our work.
  
  This was one of the biggest events catered by Meera. A 12 day recital consisting of breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea & dinner. The attendees was circa 4000 people per day with weekends reaching 5000.

  We faced many constraints in the planning stages of the event due to many regulations imposed by the university. However with our experience and dedication we overcame these and worked together to achieve a successful event. We hired a mobile kitchen customised to our cooking requirements and had a vast team in making the food, managing the buffet stations and operations of the whole event. With our experienced chefs and management team, we knew the bottlenecks which would be faced and how to overcome these.
  
  That’s not all. We also catered at the Fellows House Hilton hotel for breakfast and dinner for close family and friends staying at Cambridge. Working with the hotel team to make western and Indian cuisine was another aspect of our job which was successfully implemented.
